Long-term learning with repetitions
MemoCard schedules your reviews. Difficult cards appear more often; familiar cards at longer intervals.
The screenshots and example illustrations show the German interface; the instructions and captions follow your selected language.
Five boxes to match your knowledge level
New cards start in box 1. “Got it” moves a card up one box, up to box 5. “Keep practising” returns it to box 1. After your answer, the next review is scheduled.

This is just one example. Your personal learning progress will not be changed.
When should I review?
The interval depends on the box reached after your answer: 1, 2, 4, 8 or 16 days. A correct answer to a new card moves it to box 2, making it due again in two days.
Cards in box 5 continue to be reviewed. “No review due” means no review is currently scheduled for your selection, not that you have permanently mastered all the material.
Your next repetition in view
MemoCard reminds you of due Leitner repetitions: via the notifications in MemoCard, via push message in the app and via email. So you keep an eye on your next learning round.
With the notification in MemoCard, you can get directly to the appropriate study session and continue learning.
Preparing your study session
Study stack size limits how many new cards are introduced at once. Cards reaching box 3 or higher make room for new cards. Free places are filled when the next session starts.
As a starting value, MemoCard uses 50 cards, correspondingly fewer for smaller flashcard sets. A smaller stack is suitable if you want to learn in manageable portions.
Frequently asked questions
Can I still learn if nothing is due?
Yes. You can select an already introduced box for practice. This practice changes neither Leitner boxes nor due dates. Alternatively, use Stack learning.
What happens when you reset?
The Leitner learning stand of the card set starts all over again. Your learning cards will not be deleted. Use this function for a conscious restart, not only because there is no repetition due today.
