Account and notifications
Manage your personal data, language, and logins and learn how learning reminders work.
The screenshots and example illustrations show the German interface; the instructions and captions follow your selected language.
Personal data and language
Open your personal data through the sidebar. In the profile you can change and save first name and last name. These changes require a connection. For managed accounts, the organization’s specifications also apply.
The language can be selected via the language icon in the header or the language area of the account. “Automatic” depends on the device language. In the app, a language change is also possible offline. On other devices, the account setting is adopted when opening and matching; this does not necessarily happen immediately.
Change email address
- Open the security area in the account and enter the new e-mail address and your current password.
- Request the confirmation code and also check the spam folder of the new address.
- Enter the six-digit code and confirm the new address. Until successful confirmation, the previous address remains valid.
- After the change, you will be logged out. Sign up again with the new address.
If the code has expired or is blocked, request a new one using the action provided and observe any waiting time shown.
Password and login sessions
To change the password, enter the current password, the new password and its confirmation in the security area. After a successful change, you log in again with the new password.
“Login sessions” shows your existing sign-ins. Device names are currently not shown; times use your local time zone. Choose “Refresh” to reload the data. To end a sign-in, choose “Sign out” for that session and confirm.
For a managed account, account deletion refers to administration. Read the confirmation for a personal account before you delete it.
Notifications in the header
Open the notification icon in the header. Unread messages are marked. When a message is opened, it is marked as read and, if there is a destination, you reach the corresponding content. “Mark all as read” changes the reading status; it does not complete any learning task.
Deleting removes a notification from the list. It does not complete or reset a due Leitner review.
Leitner reminders by push and email
If Leitner repeats are due, MemoCard can send a push message to the app and an e-mail in addition to the internal notification. If you open the reminder, the stored link leads to the appropriate learning content. If necessary, register first.
Push messages require set-up delivery and notification permission of the device. Check this for MemoCard in the device settings if no push message appears. Receiving an e-mail or push message is not a prerequisite for learning: Due repetitions can also be found in your learning overview.
Offlinely recorded learning responses must first be synchronized. An already delivered note can therefore show an older status. Relevant is the updated learning overview after the comparison.
If a reminder is missing, also check spam folders, account and Synchronisation. Delivery may be delayed.
