Your first steps with MemoCard

In a few steps to the first learning round – or to the established class and to joint learning in a team.

The screenshots and example illustrations show the German interface; the instructions and captions follow your selected language.

For learners: Your first 5 minutes

  1. Sign in. Sign in with your account. If you have received an invitation from your school, company or study group, follow the link in the email first. Use the invited email address.
  2. Select learning material. Open “flashcard sets”. For shared learning content, open your study group and their flashcard sets. You can also Discover public flashcard sets. If you are missing an expected set, check the account used and the group assignment.
  3. Optionally create your own cards. If you have permission to create card sets, create and save a set, then add a first question and answer. The guide With the editor shows the steps. Existing notes can be converted into flashcards.
  4. Start a small learning round. Open a card set’s study menu and choose “Stack learning”. Start with a few cards. Read the question, consider your answer, reveal the solution and choose “Got it” or “Keep practising”.
  5. Choose the next step. For regular reviews, use the Leitner system. For vocabulary and short text answers, try Writing . With MemoCard Exam you can practise exam situations.

You will find your first answers in your learning overview or statistics. “Studied” means you have worked with a card, not that you have permanently mastered it.

  3. Assign user and learning material. Add organization users to the group and provide appropriate learning content via “Add flashcard sets”.
  4. Help people get started. People must complete their account setup. When available, you can Resend invitation. Check the dispatch feedback.
  5. Accompany the first round of learning. Ask learners to open the assigned set and answer some cards. When using the app offline, the results must be synchronized first.
  6. View learning status. Open the learning overview and a person’s learning details. The guide Understanding learning status explains periods, answer accuracy and review needs.

For a first run, a small group with a few cards is enough. So you can check the allocation and access before registering other people.

Learning with the app on the go

Prepare the app online first. Once stored locally, flashcards can also be used without internet. Before your first offline session, read the Notes on offline use and synchronization.
