Learning status of students and staff

Understand learning activity, cards studied, answer accuracy and review needs, from the organization down to individual cards.

1. Where do I find the learning status?

As a tenant administrator, open the “learning overview” of your organization. It is available online and contains the sections “Learning Activity” and “Progress per person”. In the app, you will find the area selection at the bottom of the screen.

  1. Start with “Learning Activity” to look at the organization as a whole.
  2. Change to “Progress per person” and search by name or email address.
  3. Open “Show learning details” to take a closer look at a person. Alternatively, the chart icon in the user management leads there.
  4. In the learning details, you switch between “Learning Development” and “Card Results”.

Organization evaluation refers to assigned organization flashcard sets. It is not a complete overview of all private learning activities of a person. Therefore, always pay attention to the displayed scope.

2. Learning Activity: What Happens in the Selected Period?

Choose the last 7, 30 or 90 days. Activity reports cover learners, excluding owners, on currently assigned organization card sets. Paused and deleted cards are excluded.

Active learners
A person counts as active if at least one response was recorded in the period. This says nothing about the duration of learning or the quality of the answers.
Answers submitted
Learning attempts are counted, including repetitions. A card that has been answered five times can contribute five answers. Answers are therefore not synonymous with different cards.
Answer success
The proportion of correct answers in all the answers collected. Example: 80 correct answers out of 100 give 80%. The display evaluates responses, not the proportion of permanently mastered cards.
Comparison with previous period
It is compared to the same period before. From 60% to 75%, it is 15 percentage points. If answers are missing in one of the periods, no comparison is possible.
Example for 30 days: 12 out of 20 learners active, 200 responses and 75 percent response success. Example for 30 days: 12 out of 20 learners active, 200 responses and 75 percent response success.

Recognizing difficult topics

The overview shows up to five flashcard sets with a high error rate. A set must have at least 10 responses and at least 30% error rate in the period. When you unfold, you see difficult cards. Consider the number of answers and participating learners: Few attempts do not yet allow a reliable statement.

If no set meets these criteria, it does not automatically mean that all topics are safely mastered. Perhaps there are still too few answers.

3. Progress per person: how much has been studied?

This overview shows the overall status of the assigned flashcard sets, regardless of the activity period. Compare people only with comparable assignments and learning conditions.

Card sets
Assigns the learning status to the assigned learning contents. Different allocations may give different totals.
Learning progress / cards studied
“30 of 50 cards studied” means 60% coverage: these cards have been studied at least once, but not necessarily answered correctly. Even 100% coverage does not prove exam readiness.
Answer success
Shows how successful the answers collected were. Read this value along with the editing amount and the last activity.
Last activity
Helps to recognize when was last learned in the field under consideration. ‘Not yet a learning activity’ refers to the data collected in this area.

In a person’s learning details, “Cards studied” remains the overall total. Answer accuracy, difficult cards and the last answer under “Learning development” refer to the period selected there.

Daily success rate

The bar height shows the proportion of correct answers of a day. A day without answers appears as a gap, not a 0% success. Using Daily Values as a Table, you can read the date, response number, and success rate together. 100% for one answer is less meaningful than 90% for many answers.

4. Knowledge level and Leitner reviews

“Knowledge level & review” shows the current status of active cards that are not personally paused, independently of the activity reporting period.

Not learned
There is not yet a scored answer for these cards.
In review
The cards have already been learned and are below Leitner level 5.
Advanced
The cards have reached Leitner level 5. This is an indication of the repeat status, not a guarantee of lasting knowledge or examination success.
Due for Leitner review
Previously introduced cards whose scheduled review date has arrived. Paused cards and cards without a review date do not count. These cards are a subset of the statuses above, so do not add them to the total again.
Next Leitner review
Shows the next upcoming repeat date, if one is available.
Example: 20 unlearned cards, 25 in repetition and 5 advanced cards make 50 cards. The 8 due leitner cards are included in it. Example: 20 unlearned cards, 25 in repetition and 5 advanced cards make 50 cards. The 8 due leitner cards are included in it.
Example: 20 unlearned cards, 25 in repetition and 5 advanced cards make 50 cards. The 8 due leitner cards are included in it.

In the example, 30 of 50 cards have been studied, or 60%. Only 5 cards are advanced. The 8 due cards are already included in the 50.

5. Inspect individual cards

Under Card Results, you can open a card set, search for learning cards, and filter between All Learning Cards, Learned, and Not Learned. The entries show status, response success and last activity. The “learned” filter describes the editing, not necessarily a correct answer.

Under “Practise these cards” in learning development, you see up to five cards with at least two incorrect attempts during the selected period, ordered by error rate. Earlier errors may remain visible even if the last answer was correct. Use this to choose suitable reviews or explanations.

Example of a difficult card: 2 out of 5 answers wrong. The last answer was correct, previous errors remain in the period. Example of a difficult card: 2 out of 5 answers wrong. The last answer was correct, previous errors remain in the period.

6. Considering a class or team

Open the section “Progress of learning” in the organizational study group. Choose the time period and open an card set to see its results in more detail. The detailed view shows, among other things, response success, response number, last activity and due Leitner repetitions per person.

Here, too, the repetition requirement is a current Leitner status; the response key figures relate to the selected period of time. “3 out of 12 learners with due repetitions” counts people, not cards. The personal detail display, on the other hand, indicates the number of due cards.

7. Use these figures in practice

  1. Create an overview: Check the last 7 days weekly. How many learners were active and which topics stand out?
  2. Identify the cause: In case of anomalies, open the person or the card set. Distinguish between little processing, many failed attempts and due repetitions.
  3. Select support: Not studied yet? Check access and assignment. Repeatedly incorrect? Discuss the content and question together. Due for review? Plan another study round.
  4. Observe developments: After further learning rounds, re-examine the same area and comparable time periods. Include response quantity and changed allocations.

Why is there a lack of current results?

Offline responses of the app must first be synchronized before they can appear in the organization evaluation. Also, check time period, filters, and card set allocation. An empty result alone does not prove that the person has not learned.

Why Are Total Numbers Changing?

New or removed assignments and changes to active learning cards can change the amount viewed. As a result, a value of progress can decline without losing the learning work already done.

Is the response success an examination grade?

No. The key figures describe the learning activity and answers in MemoCard. Repetitions, task type and learning mode affect them. For classic text cards, the evaluation can be based on self-assessment. Use the values as a basis for discussion and action, not just as a performance assessment.

All images and numbers on this page are simplified examples, not real student or employee data.
